Disability Cuts

Around%20500,000%20disabled%20people%20are%20'expected%20to%20lose%20out'%20when%20the%20Disability%20Living%20Allowance%20is%20scrappedThis is just awful – Thousands of disabled people who rely on their cars are facing the disability cuts that take their cars away. Not only are they the only way some people can get around, they are a life line to those who would otherwise be indoors for days on end. How on earth can this young lady, Charlotte Cureton who has Spina Bifida, be denied the vital tools she need to “have a life” beyond her illness?

There is also a story of a lady with Fibromyalgia like me, who has now lost her car. I will be cut off completely if my car has to go back.

Although I agree there are lots of fraudulent claims, so many genuine people are being made to suffer as a result of the cuts.

If you take a moment to think how you would feel if you suddenly had no car & then imagine you also had a debilitating condition, you will realise how important a car really is.

Rant over!  🙂
